Request for Public Records

The Open Records Act (O.C.G.A. 50-18-70) authorizes the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office to impose a reasonable charge for the search, retrieval, redaction, and production or copying costs for this request. Unless otherwise provided by law, the search, retrieval, and redaction charge is not to exceed the prorated hourly salary of the lowest paid full-time employee with the necessary skill and training to perform the request, with no charge for the first quarter hour. O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71(c)(1). As to copying, the Sheriff’s Office may charge 10¢ per page for letter and legal size documents or the actual production costs for other documents.

You may request to receive a copy of an Incident, Accident, or Arrest Report by submitting an open records request to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Records Division by one of the following means:

Incident and Arrest Report are only available through submitting a request to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Records Division. Please see the forms listed below for the appropriate form for your request.

Accident Reports

Per O.C.G.A. 40-9-30 Accident Reports can also be obtained by submitting a request to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Records Division. Accident Reports obtained at the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office will cost $5 per report (Cash Only).

You may also obtain a copy of an Accident Report at Buy Crash. BuyCrash.com is not owned or operated by the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office. This company is used by the State of Georgia to provide official State of Georgia Accident Reports to involved parties or motor vehicle accidents. There is an increased fee for purchasing accident reports using BuyCrash.com.
